“They Usually Say “May the Best one win”
If we compare the number of monthly active users, we will say that Facebook is perhaps the best one, then. But things are not at easy and clear as that. Let us compare both these platforms, first.
- In terms of purpose: Facebook was created, in the first place, to allow people to connect with the people they know, their friends, and to re-connect with the people they had lost track of. The aim was thus to network and communicate with people. Instagram is rather a visual platform whose purpose is to follow people who bring you visual content. It is a visual platform on which people follow others on the basis of their pictures and videos.
- In terms of reach and audience: Instagram has 800 million active monthly users, whereas Facebook has more than 200 billion monthly active users. The impact is thus different. Similarly if you buy twitter followers cheap, the results are better too. The reach will not be the same. Plus, there is a considerable difference in the audiences. Facebook really brings together people from all backgrounds and ages whereas Instagram is a little more limited in this regard because it attracts younger audiences than Facebook.
- In terms of potential for marketing and promotion. Facebook and Instagram are both great platforms for brands as well as celebrities, public figures and professionals who want to make sure they keep promoting their business. Instagram can be an excellent way to boost your business or become famous. And so is Facebook. But the difference is that, depending on what your business is and what it is that you are willing to share with people, one platform may be more suitable than another. For example, if the things that you want to sell are fashion-related, Instagram is the best platform for you. If you want to get famous and popular for the ideas you want to promote and share with people, then Instagram is definitely not the best option for you, as it attracts people mostly on the basis of perfect-looking pictures and videos.
- In terms of ease of use. Facebook and Instagram are both relatively easy to use. Facebook, however, is more of a natural platform where you do not really need to be good at photography and photo-editing. You can share pretty much every little thing you want on Facebook. It can be text-based, it can be a picture, and it can even be a video. On Instagram, you will be able to share things, connect to people and follow them very easily, but you may feel that you are not getting the attention you initially wanted if the quality of your pictures doesn’t impress your friends and followers.
In conclusion, both Facebook and Instagram are great platforms. You will definitely enjoy both in different ways. And depending on your needs, one platform may suit you better. But, actually, it would be more accurate to say that these platforms are complementary and that you will not lose anything by being present on both.
